## Summary

The procurement process managed by National Highways, operating out of Birmingham, entails the provision of "S30006 Road Safety Guidance" as part of their initiative to enhance road user safety under the Safety, Engineering and Standards Directorate. The project, categorised under Development consultancy services (CPV code 73220000), is spread across various locations, including the UK and international territories. The process has reached the award stage, and the selective procurement method involved a call-off from a framework agreement. The contract, valued at £97,304.30, was awarded to Ove Arup on 10th October 2025, with a contract period extending from 10th October 2025 to 31st March 2026.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities primarily for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the consultancy sector, focusing on road safety initiatives. Businesses with expertise in developing and implementing effective road safety strategies would be well-suited to compete, provided they can leverage the framework agreements. As National Highways aims to initiate and manage road safety improvements, the successful bidder could achieve considerable exposure and credibility within both domestic and international markets, strengthening its position within the industry.
