## Summary

Nottingham City Council is inviting tenders for the "Pharmacy Needle Exchange Accreditation" contract, aimed at providing accredited organisations with the capability to deliver pharmacy needle exchange services. This initiative falls within the health and social work services industry category, specifically addressing substance misuse treatment in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. The tender is currently at the active stage, with a submission deadline set for 12 noon on 8 July 2019. The contract, worth £65,000 per annum, is scheduled to commence on 1 October 2019 and will run until 30 September 2024, with options for extensions.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for local businesses, particularly those specialising in health services, social enterprises, and suppliers of medical and safety equipment. With the need for both pre-packaged and 'pick and mix' injecting equipment, companies that can demonstrate experience in similar service delivery will be well-suited to compete. Engaging in this tender can allow businesses to contribute to public health initiatives while expanding their operations within the community.
