## Summary

The South Central and West Commissioning Support Unit is conducting a tender for the "Mini Competition for the provision of Online Consultation Systems and Video Consultation Systems for GP Practices to support COVID-19 response." This procurement falls under the industry category of software systems and was initiated to rapidly implement digital solutions that enable remote triage and consultation in GP practices across England. The tender period has concluded, with submissions accepted until March 19, 2020. The associated contract, valued at £558,101.45, is set to run from April 21, 2020, to April 20, 2021, with its location based in London, United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in software solutions aimed at healthcare applications, particularly those that can provide innovative digital consultation tools. Companies that possess experience with remote healthcare services or have established systems for online patient interactions will be especially well-suited to compete in this procurement process. Furthermore, as this initiative supports the crucial healthcare response to COVID-19, suppliers who can demonstrate quick implementation capabilities and adaptability may find enhanced prospects for collaboration in future projects.

## Notice

In response to Covid-19, it was important to protect patients and staff and minimise the risk of infection. It was therefore important to rapidly implement digital solutions to support clinicians to triage and consult with patients remotely, and to also support clinicians and other staff to work remotely. This required rapid acceleration of the aims of the Digital First programme to deliver key capabilities to all GP practices in England where they do not currently have them. Mobilisation at pace and at scale to support the introduction of 'total triage' or 'triage first' across all practices was necessary to support the response to Covid-19.
