## Summary

Peterborough City Council is initiating a soft market test for their forthcoming Community Alarm (Lifeline) Contract set to commence in April 2021. This opportunity falls under the medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products industry category, and responses are sought by 12 noon on 8th September 2020. The council is particularly interested in various pricing models regarding the provision of equipment, including lease, rental, and buy-back options. The tender process is classified as an open procedure, allowing widespread participation from interested providers.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in medical equipment and community care services to influence the development of the contract and potentially secure a partnership with a local authority. Businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), that offer innovative solutions or pricing models for community alarm systems would be well-suited to participate. By providing valuable insights and suggestions based on their experience, these businesses can position themselves favourably for future procurement opportunities with Peterborough City Council.

## Notice

Peterborough City Council (PCC) will soon be tendering their Community Alarm (Lifeline) Contract and are considering different pricing models - for example lease / rental of equipment, or buy back / credit models. We are interested to hear the views of providers prior to finalising the service specification. Providers are invited to comment and suggest other options based on their previous experience. Providers are advised that in PCC the first six weeks of provision are funded by the local authority, and thereafter the customer takes over the ongoing monitoring costs. The City Council continues to be responsible for funding any additional peripheral sensors and detectors after the first six weeks Please note that this is not a call for competition, neither is it a procurement exercise but an opportunity for Peterborough City Council to better understand the supply market for providers to showcase their ideas. Response date Please submit all responses through the SourceDogg system by 12 noon on the 8th September 2020.
