The university aims to embrace Artificial Intelligence to enhance its business areas by implementing a ChatBot and LiveChat solution. Organizations interested in contributing to this pre-procurement market engagement exercise must submit their responses via the EU Supply Portal by Monday 13th March 2023 at 17:00 GMT. Following the initial responses, selected respondents may participate in workshop sessions between Monday 27th March 2023 and Thursday 30th March 2023 to present and discuss their ideas. This tender by Nottingham Trent University offers an opportunity for businesses specializing in software packages and information systems, particularly those with expertise in Artificial Intelligence solutions. The procurement exercise aims to gather insights for future procurement processes and does not constitute a formal invitation to tender at this stage. ## Notice NTU wish to undertake a pre-procurement market engagement exercise before any possible procurement is started, to determine suitable Chatbot and LiveChat systems and capabilities. NTU has taken the strategic direction of becoming a digitally sophisticated university. Therefore, it has been decided that NTU wants to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various business areas. The use of ChatBots are NTU's first foray into the world of AI. The delivery of a suitable ChatBot and Livechat solution that meets the business requirements is the most important deliverable of the ChatBot/LiveChat project. NTU is also exploring the concept of forming an AI partnership/roadmap with a provider which incorporates AI solutions beyond ChatBot and enquiry management. With the strategic aim of making the university's responses to enquiries more efficient, there is a significant emphasis on enabling students to self-serve. The deliverable of the ChatBot/LiveChat Project is fundamental to reaching the strategic aim. At this stage we will not be formally assessing proposals, so nothing provided at this stage will be evaluated as part of any future procurement process. We welcome responses from organisations who feel that they have ideas on how our vision can be delivered, and comment on the extent to which our requirements are reasonable, realistic, and properly specified. If you feel your organisation can contribute to this exercise, please register/login to express interest via the EU Supply portal for further details. Please complete and sign the NDA to access the SMT document, provide responses to the enclosed questions and submit via the EU Supply Portal no later than 17:00 GMT on Monday 13th March 2023. Following receipt of the responses, and depending on the information we obtain from this exercise, we may invite a selection of respondents to attend separate workshop sessions to present and discuss their responses between Monday 27th March 2023 and Thursday 30th March 2023. Organisations not attending a session will not be disadvantaged in any future procurement, as this pre-procurement market engagement is only an exploratory fact-finding exercise: it is not an invitation to tender or a request for formal expressions of interest. Any supplier invited to present or provide information to NTU is doing so to support pre-procurement market research only, to help make any future procurement more focused and efficient, and to clarify NTU's requirements. The expected formal procurement process will start only after completion of this pre-procurement market engagement or soft market testing exercise.
