## Summary

Public Health England (PHE) is currently seeking suppliers for the procurement of Multi-channel free radical analysers and Trans Epithelial Electrical Resistance (TEER) equipment, as part of their ultraviolet (UV) light programme in the Radiation Effects Department. The tender is classified under the industry category of "Pressure-measuring equipment" and is valued at £20,000. The procurement method is open, and interested parties have until 21 January 2019 to submit their proposals. Delivery is expected in Scotland, with the contract scheduled to commence on 28 January 2019 and continue for one year.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in scientific equipment, particularly those that manufacture or supply pressure-measuring and emission measurement tools. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are especially encouraged to apply, as this project aligns with their capacity to provide the required technology and support for PHE's critical health programmes. Vendors with experience in health-related equipment and portable measurement devices will find this procurement particularly suitable for their offerings.

## Notice

Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to procure the equipment required for the ultraviolet (UV) light programme run by its Cellular Biology Group in the Radiation Effects Department. The aim of the programme is to (1) identify the most active NO-inducing wavelength of light (2) the parameters (time and dose) that are most effective and safe and (3) the efficacy of this wavelength of light and parameters to affect blood flow and blood pressure. This opportunity relates to Multi-channel free radical analyser and associated sensors and the Trans Epithelial Electrical Resistance (TEER) equipment. The required Multi-channel free radical analyser must be capable of - measuring: - Nitric oxide from < 0.3nM-100uM - Hydrogen peroxide < 10nM-100mM - Hydrogen sulfide - Glucose - Oxygen from 0.1-100% - simultaneous measurement of free radical and independent analog data (ECG, BP, etc.) data on any channel - be portable to allow field work The Trans Epithelial Electrical Resistance (TEER) Voltohmmeter must be: - Capable of Manual TEER measurements of epithelial cells in well plates - Compatible with Endohm chambers - Capable of continuous readouts without need for manual intervention. If you feel that you can meet the above requirements or would like more information, then please email anna.gibson@phe.gov.uk or access the tender documents through: https://phe.bravosolution.co.uk
