Project Description SSE currently have a substation on Carfax Close, which is required to be relocated as part of essential enabling works to accommodate the construction of a new office block. The office block forms the delivery of the first parcel of land of the Kimmerfields Development (Swindon Town Centre). The new substation location will be on the opposite side of Carfax Close; its new location falls within the boundary of the Swindon Bus Station fronting on to Carfax Close. It will require close liaising with SSE (contacts shall be shared upon contract award) to programme in dates in which they attend to install equipment, cabling, jointing and decommissioning. The approximate OS Grid Reference is 415154, 184961. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents. Contract Period The initial contract term will be for 14 weeks as stated in the RFQ documents. The relevant tender documents are included within this project webpage as attachments.
