## Summary

The University of Keele is inviting tenders for the "Provision of Smart Energy Supply Chain Business Support Services," aimed at supporting ERDF eligible businesses within the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire LEP area. The open procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 11th August 2017. The project is part of the Smart Energy Network Demonstrator (SEND), receiving funding from the European Regional Development Fund and related government departments. The total contract value is estimated at £350,000, with services expected to commence on 13th September 2017 and conclude by 30th June 2021.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, especially for SMEs in the energy and low carbon sectors, as well as businesses from traditionally unrelated fields such as IT, marketing, and professional services. Firms capable of providing targeted consultancy services, particularly those with experience in ERDF programmes, would be well-positioned to compete. The procurement process is designed to enhance the capability of eligible businesses to engage in the expanding global smart energy market, thereby fostering innovation and sustainability within the region.
