## Summary

The Financial Conduct Authority is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Infrastructure 24/7 Support - Supplier Event and Request for Information." This initiative is aimed at enhancing their AWS-based cloud platform infrastructure to support around-the-clock operations. The key milestone for interested parties is the engagement end date set for 17th August 2018, while a Supplier Event is scheduled for 15th June 2018 in London. The relevant industry category is Technical Support Services (CPV code: 71356300), and the procurement method involves early engagement through a tender process.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in providing technical support services, particularly those experienced in cloud infrastructure and DevOps models. Companies capable of delivering Level 2 and Level 3 support services in areas such as incident management and security operations will find this an advantageous opportunity. Engaging with this process may lead to valuable contracts, as the Financial Conduct Authority seeks qualified partners to support their transition to a 24/7 service model.

## Notice

Background: The FCA has built an AWS-based cloud platform to host its business services applications. New project workloads are being continuously deployed on this platform, as well as the existing application portfolio being migrated throughout FY 18/19 and 19/20 from its legacy environments. The cloud platform has to date been built, provisioned and managed by a central group within the FCA's Infrastructure and Operations division under a traditional project delivery / infrastructure support framework. The organisational will be transitioning towards a Product and DevOps model. As the volume and criticality of application workloads on the platform increase the support capability will move from a UK Business Hours support model to a 24/7 model. Indicative Requirements: To this effect, the FCA is seeking a third party to augment the current cloud infrastructure support capability to achieve 24/7 coverage. The scope of the required augmentation is subject to the capabilities available in the market and evolution of the FCA's own long-term support strategy. It will include Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure support, across event, incident and problem management, Security Operations monitoring and support, and in subsequent phases, change management and additional service delivery and service management capabilities. The FCA is seeking to engage with organisations with the capability to deliver such requirements for an enterprise grade AWS-based cloud platform. Purpose of Early Engagement a) to give potential tenderers advance notice that the FCA are currently evaluating its options for contracting for 24/7 Infrastructure Support b) to advise potential tenderers of an upcoming Supplier Event which will be held on 15th June 2018 at a location in London c) to give potential tenderers access to a Request for Information (RFI) document Potential tenderers should note that in order to obtain access to the Supplier Event and RFI document, they need to complete the Registration Questionnaire, sign and return the enclosed Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) via the Bravo portal no later than the 11th June 2018 at 6pm.
