The key requirements of the service are: 0-4 Health Visiting Service All expectant parents / carers / guardians and families with infants and children 0-5 years resident in B&NES 5-19 (25*) School Nursing Service All children attending schools (including sixth forms) and alternative provision in B&NES, regardless of their home address, aged from school entry until age 19 years of age or up to 25 years of age where there are special educational needs and/or disabilities and/or vulnerable groups All home educated pupils residing in B&NES Vulnerable groups of children and young people resident in B&NES but who may not be in school Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Service for Children not Accessing Formal Education Children and young people with significant school absence in which parents have reported illness as a reason for absence National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) measures the height and weight of children in reception class (aged 4 to 5) and year 6 (aged 10 to 11), to assess overweight and obesity levels in children within primary schools.
