Having taken ownership of HMS Warrior in July 2018, it was evident that the ship needed a full redesign and rewire of its current electrical system. The ship and its systems host a staff presence 24/7 all year and paying members of the public to the Historic Dockyard. Evening meals and events all take place throughout the year, supported by a cafe and a fully equipped professional kitchen. Alongside this public-facing role, the ship maintains numerous systems - macerator, speaker, fire detection, lighting and heating - as well as power for maintenance tools and equipment. The aim of this project is for a full redesign and install of a new electrical system from the shore-side and on the ship. The purpose of this project is to create a system which is safe and supports the current and future power requirements of the NMRN on the ship.
