The hospital is not the most appropriate environment for most assessments to happen. The Council proposes to 'block book' up to 6 beds at one or more, dual registered, Nursing and Residential Home(s). These beds would be used for a Discharge to Assess model. To bid for this opportunity the Home(s) * Must have at least a 'Good' rating with CQC. * Preferably be within a 2 mile radius of either of the borough's main Hospitals i.e. Fairfield Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital * Have 3 beds for Residential support and 3 beds for Nursing care.
