The tender period is set to conclude on 7th May 2019, while the contract period will commence on 1st October 2019 and extend until 30th September 2023. The Council aims to appoint eight high-scoring contractors to the framework agreement, utilising both direct awards and mini-competitions for subsequent contracts.

This framework presents an exciting opportunity for businesses in the construction sector, particularly those specialising in new build, refurbishment, and maintenance works across residential, educational, health, and community projects. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to compete, as the framework seeks to engage contractors with a diverse range of expertise and innovative construction methods. By participating in this framework, companies can potentially secure substantial contracts that contribute to the revitalisation of the local infrastructure while growing their business portfolio.
