## Summary

The Ministry of Defence, Land Equipment, Soldier Training and Special Programmes is conducting a procurement process for a Thermal Clip-on System (TCOS) designed for Night Vision Goggles. This tender is classified under the goods category, specifically for telescopic sights, and is located in the South West region of the United Kingdom. The tender is currently in the planning stage, with submissions due by 4th February 2020. The estimated value of the contract ranges from £20 million to £30 million, and the contract period is set to commence on 30th November 2020, lasting until 28th November 2025. It follows a selective procurement method with restricted procedures.

This tender presents significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that possess the capability to meet the technical requirements outlined for the TCOS. Businesses that specialise in advanced optical technologies and lightweight materials could find a strong competitive edge in this procurement process. Engaging with this contract could enable these companies to expand their market reach and establish relationships with key governmental entities in the defence sector.
