## Summary

The National Heritage Memorial Fund is seeking proposals for its project titled "Digital Skills for Heritage Tranche 4: Leading the Sector," which aims to enhance senior digital leadership across the UK heritage sector. This open tender is currently in the planning stage with a submission deadline set for 11:00 AM on 15 September 2021. The project, which is part of a £3.5 million initiative running from February 2020 to March 2023, seeks to commission a series of events to promote good practices in digital leadership, supported by training and networking opportunities. The contract period is expected to commence on 11 October 2021 and conclude on 30 September 2022, with a total value of £41,666. The primary industry category associated with this tender is computer-related professional services.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in digital training, consultancy, and event management, particularly those with experience in the heritage sector. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, as the initiative aims to improve digital capabilities within diverse organisations, ensuring that both small and larger heritage institutions can benefit. Companies that can demonstrate expertise in digital skills development and leadership training should consider submitting proposals, as the tender will foster vital discussions and networking amongst senior leaders in heritage organisations across the UK.

Overview The National Lottery Heritage Fund, formerly the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), was set up in 1994 under the National Lottery Act and distributes money raised by the National Lottery to support projects involving the national, regional and local heritage of the United Kingdom. We operate under the auspices of the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF). In January 2019 we launched our current Strategic Framework: 'Inspiring, leading and resourcing the UK's heritage'. See The Fund's website for more details. The Fund invests in the full breadth of the UK's heritage and, through our funding, we aim to make a lasting difference for heritage and people. This is reflected in the outcomes for heritage, people and communities which underpin our grant-making. Digital Skills for Heritage is an ambitious PS3.5M initiative which runs from February 2020 to March 2023, designed to drive up digital capabilities across the heritage sector. It promotes digital skills and leadership and directly supports digital skills development, providing a range of support to suit the needs of a diverse sector. Our Leading the Sector strand fosters and promotes senior level digital leadership. In 2020 we commissioned Culture24 to deliver our first Leading the Sector project, a professional development course which supported 16 senior leaders. This second commission follows that work but takes a new approach. The Fund wishes to commission a series of events that will showcase, promote and develop digital leaders and leadership across the heritage sector. Activities will attract and be of value to Trustees and Executive Leadership members from organisations that deliver heritage related activities from across the whole of the UK. Aims and Objectives The aim of this commission is to provide a series of free events or activities that highlight, promote and develop digital leaders and leadership across the UK heritage sector. The primary focus of this commission is to promote good practice, raise discussion and facilitate networking in relation to digital leadership. The Digital Skills for Heritage initiative primarily targets and invests in small to medium sized organisations. To balance that, this commission should aim to support medium and large sized heritage organisations. The Tranche 2 Taking Digital Forward (T2) and Tranche 5 Answering the Sector's Digital Questions (T5) projects in the Digital Skills for Heritage initiative include related leadership activities and resources. The successful bidder will coordinate with these project leads in order that Digital Skills for Heritage leadership resources and events can be promoted across projects wherever appropriate. Your tender proposals must be sent electronically via e-mail before the tender return deadline of 11.00 am on the 15 09 2021 to the following contact: Ruth.Dench@heritagefund.org.uk Additional information: UPLOADED ANSWERS TO BIDDERS' QUESTIONS. 6.9.2021.
