## Summary

The North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) on behalf of NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board is in the planning stage of procuring a digital system for an innovative TeleDermatology Skin Cancer Triaging Service. This service, classified under the Medical Software Package industry (CPV 48180000), aims to manage clinical images for skin cancer triaging across the North East, United Kingdom. The pilot programme is due to commence at the start of the next financial year (01 April 2025) and run until 30 September 2025. The contracting authority plans a market engagement event in February 2025, with the deadline for Request for Information (RFI) responses set for 17:00 on 10 January 2025.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in medical software solutions, especially those capable of supporting clinical image management. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to engage with NECS in this early market engagement phase. Interested vendors can register and obtain RFI documentation through the Atamis e-tender portal. This engagement provides a platform to showcase potential solutions and participate in discussions that will shape future tender opportunities for this critical healthcare service.
