## Summary

NHS South West Commissioning Support is currently in the planning stage for a tender titled "NHS England Thame Valley & Wessex - Neonatal Transport Services". This procurement pertains to the health and social work services industry and involves the re-commissioning of neonatal transport across locations including Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and West Sussex. An engagement event is scheduled for 24th July 2019, with a deadline for registration via a market sounding questionnaire set for 5pm on 17th July 2019. This early engagement aims to inform the commissioning process as the current contract is set to expire in 2020.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health and transport services, especially those equipped with patient transport vehicles and relevant medical personnel. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, as the engagement aims to assess the interest and capability of suitably qualified providers. By joining this preliminary Market Engagement Event, businesses can network, share insights, and better understand the requirements for the subsequent procurement process.

## Notice

NHS England Thames Valley and Wessex are exploring options on how to re-commission their Neonatal Transport Services as the current contract is due to expire in 2020. This covers transfers across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Dorset, Berkshire West and West Sussex. The full service scope is in the process of being defined and the Commissioner will be holding Market Engagement Event (MEE) with the aim of: * Engage with providers and facilitate providers networking with each other * Understanding the interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified providers * Informing the commissioning process * Gathering information from stakeholders who may be used to shape the tender process and documentation. To register for the MEE that will be held on Wednesday 24th July 2019 please complete the Market Sounding Questionnaire attached to this Notice and return to scwcsu.whprocurement@nhs.net by 5pm on Thursday 17th July 2019. Further information on the event will be provided to registered organisations. In the event you are unable to attend but would like to receive a copy of any presentation materials, please complete the provider sounding questionnaire and email it to scwcsu.whprocurement@nhs.net and copies of the presentation material will be sent to you. An expression of interest to attend this MEE is no indication of a commitment to participate in any future tender process nor does it infer any special status on those Providers who do attend. An expression of interest in this event will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. Any procurement conducted subsequent to the event will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published. Providers who do not attend this MEE will still be able to apply for the Procurement in the future. Please note that this MEE does not represent a formal stage in the procurement process and attendance will play no part in any subsequent evaluation process. This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners. 85000000 - Health and Social Work Service 344114122 - Patient Transport Vehicles 85141000 - Services provided by Medical Personnel 34114100 - Emergency Vehicles Additional information: This notice is an information gathering exercise rather than a call for competition in its own right, and therefore publication or response does not commit NHS England Thame Valley and Wessex or respondents to a future procurement, nor provide any process exemptions or preferential treatment to any parties expressing an interest. Commissioners are looking to establish what interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified, capable and competent organisations. NHS England Thames Valley and Wessex will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise. Interested parties should note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an automatic invitation to any subsequent formal procurement, which the commissioners will consider in due course.
