Vision for the new play area. The site has formally hosted an all timber skate ramp which was removed after it was badly damaged by fire. For longevity purposes local people are seeking a facility that will be more resilient. Concrete is not an option due to the limited space available meaning a concrete facility will be too small, to be useable. A broad outline design has been agreed loosely based on a single unit featuring two in line halfpipes with other design aspects inbuilt. 1. Scope of Work 1.1 The design, supply and installation of a new skate facility on the site of the previous skate ramp. 1.2 Installation will be onto a full macadam base. However the base might need extending. 1.3 The new facility will be of a design that enables more than one user to skate simultaneously, though not on a single ramp. This will require a twin ramp set up.
