Medications require careful introduction and titration to minimise the risk of side effects, therefore, people require support and advice when adjusting to new treatments. The Parkinson's specialist nurses are able to spend valuable time with individuals to ensure treatment regimens are implemented effectively, risks are minimised and medicines are used appropriately, thus reducing unnecessary waste. The service is provided for those people diagnosed with Parkinson's/ Parkinsonism who are registered with a GP for South Lincolnshire CCG.
