## Summary

The NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit is conducting a public procurement process for the "Contract for Primary Medical Care Provision for Station Surgery" located in Leyland, under the Chorley and South Ribble Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). As the procurement is currently at the award stage, the contract is intended to provide primary medical care services from 1st August 2020, following the expiry of a temporary arrangement. The contract, expected to last for a minimum of 10 years with a potential extension of up to 5 years, has an annual value of £355,569.54, totalling an estimated £5,333,543 over its lifespan. The tender period concluded on 8th June 2020, with the CCG responding to clarifications until 2nd June 2020. This procurement process followed an accelerated open procedure due to the urgent need for services in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This contract creates substantial opportunities for SMEs and other organisations within the health and social care sector, particularly those experienced in delivering primary medical care services. Businesses that can provide a range of enhanced services, such as diabetes management, vaccination programmes, and routine health checks, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Given the strategic importance of continuity in patient care during this critical period, interested providers should register on the MLCSU Bravo portal to access the necessary documentation and participate in future tender opportunities associated with this contract.
