This procurement falls under the industry category of personnel training services and is currently in the Tender stage, having been published on 1st February 2022. The deadline for submissions is 15th February 2022 at 15:00 hrs. The training will be conducted in Oldbury, West Midlands, with the contract period set to begin on 7th March 2022 and concluding on 6th March 2024. The managers identified are responsible for the delivery of both small and large-scale projects throughout the organisation. Given the variety of projects and range of existing knowledge and skills, a flexible approach to the training offer will be required in order meet the precise knowledge level requirement for the job role being carried out i.e. project manager, project support etc. As project officers within local government, it is imperative for these delegates not only to understand but to have the ability to apply the principles when managing projects and programmes. The Council uses PRINCE2 methodology for consistent Project Management and therefore the learning is to be based on PRINCE2 methodology. Essentially the Council would like to appoint an approved provider to deliver the PRINCE2 training programme at an introductory level, foundation, practitioner level and practical application level: o One Day Introduction to Project Management Essentials o PRINCE2 Foundation Qualification Course o PRINCE2 Practitioner Qualification Course o Practical Application Workshop for PRINCE2 o E-learning Access (as a standalone option for delegates not attending any of the courses above).
