## Summary

The Northern Lighthouse Board is currently engaged in procuring legal support services for the replacement of the NLV Pole Star vessel. This tender, titled "Legal Support," falls within the legal services industry and is focused on ensuring compliance with UK Procurement Regulations and the Government's "Green Book" approval process. The procurement period began on 1 December 2020 and is scheduled to conclude on 1 December 2025, with a total contract value of £90,000. The tender was completed as of 21 December 2020, and the end date for submission was 16 November 2020.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for law firms experienced in maritime contract law, EU regulations, and public sector procurement. Businesses that can provide legal advice encompassing risk management, contract negotiation, and compliance with specialised maritime laws would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Given the contract duration and the diverse legal requirements outlined, firms with a strong track record in delivering legal services related to shipbuilding and procurement processes will find this an advantageous opportunity for growth.
