## Summary

Bath Spa University procured a fully managed Jamf cloud service for its Apple estate in England. The requirement covers installation, ongoing configuration and management of a Jamf instance, including application packaging when needed. It also includes all Jamf licences and continuing support, plus licensing and configuration for Jamf Connect and its integration with Azure Active Directory to provide single sign-on. The procurement also refers to Apple equipment, accessories and associated services under the ITS6004 arrangement. This is an IT software and managed support requirement, with the service connected to the university’s Apple devices and user-access arrangements.

The procurement has been awarded and completed as a selective call-off from a framework agreement. The tender deadline was 21 June 2024 at noon, and the award was made to Academia Limited on 1 July 2024. The awarded value is £132,500 including the stated currency, although it is an estimate that may vary and can increase with device numbers. The contract runs from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2027. Bath Spa University selected the supplier through the framework call-off route. The opportunity was identified as suitable for both small and medium-sized enterprises and voluntary, community or social enterprises.

This award demonstrates demand from a higher education buyer for an end-to-end Apple device management service rather than standalone software. A credible future competitor would need practical expertise in Jamf Cloud administration, deployment, configuration, application packaging and ongoing technical support, together with the ability to supply and manage the required licences. Experience integrating Jamf Connect with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and implementing single sign-on would be important. Suppliers should also be able to support changing Apple device volumes and provide related equipment, accessories and services through the relevant framework route. The award indicates that an SME-scale specialist can satisfy this type of requirement.
