## Summary

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is procuring two contracts related to Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) in the UK, specifically titled "Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) support." This procurement falls within the services industry, with a focus on air quality management and associated database services. The open procedure is currently active and will close for tenders on 2nd February 2017. The expected start date for the contracts is 1st May 2017, lasting for 18 months with a potential extension of up to 24 months. The contracts will involve collaboration with various organisations including the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government, and the Greater London Authority.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), to engage in vital environmental management services. Companies with expertise in coordination, technical support, report appraisal, and database services would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, consortiums can benefit from combining their distinct expertise to meet the contract requirements, enhancing their chances of winning the tender.
