Christmas Lights Sunday 21 November 2021 The Christmas Lights switch on event takes place in the city centre on Sunday 21 November. This is a family friendly event with traditional Christmas activities including Christmas market, Santa's Grotto, Christmas themed street entertainment, children's character meet and greets, craft stalls, choirs and musical entertainment, storytelling and fairground. There will also be a couple of Christmas bars operating during the event. The event will culminate in simultaneous switch on events at two or three locations around the Town hall area, most likely with a short fireworks display.
