## Summary

The London Borough of Ealing is currently in the planning stage for the "Ealing All Age Passenger Transport Dynamic Purchasing System" tender, designed to support the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities. Key dates include the engagement end date set for 16 January 2020. The tender seeks to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) that is anticipated to commence in April 2020, extending over five years with potential two-year extensions, and is classified under Health and social work services. This procurement process is expected to cover transport to schools, colleges, and day centres within the London region, with a projected value of approximately £63 million.

This DPS offers significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in passenger transport, including taxi services and vehicle supply, as well as those that can provide innovative and sustainable transport solutions. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as their services may align with the London Borough of Ealing's requirements for safety and well-being in transporting vulnerable individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for businesses looking to expand their operations within the public sector, especially in the fields of transport services aimed at vulnerable populations.

## Notice

London Borough of Ealing (LBE) wishes to procure a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for All Age Passenger Transport for people with disabilities during January/February 2020, to commence in April 2020, for a duration of 5 years with two further possibilities of two year extensions. It is envisaged that the DPS will have multiple categories for vehicle types and also a separate category for passenger assistants. LBE would like to invite interested providers to express an interest on the London Tenders Portal using the link below https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=7f97bea2-e091-e911-80f8-005056b64545&fromProjectDashboard=True Details of how to register can be found at www.procontract.due-north.com, project reference DN416614 It is intended that the DPS would cover procurement of services for transporting and supporting vulnerable children and adults to a variety of schools, colleges and day centres within the London Borough of Ealing Safety and wellbeing of vulnerable people is a crucially important factor in the procurement of these services. LBE is interested in engaging with a range of providers in relation to passenger transport and passenger assistance, including efficiency, the use of technology, market innovation and sustainability. Currently LBE spends circa PS7m per annum on the following; Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) home to School Transport, College Transport, Adults Day Centre Ad hoc Transport Services for Children and Adults Future use of the DPS cannot be specified at this stage, and volumes are not guaranteed. However as current LBE contracts for transport come to an end during 2020 and 2021, subject to governance and using a phased approach, it is envisaged that all Children's and Adult's transport routes, and ad hoc spend on taxis will be purchased via the DPS by use of e auctions or mini competitions during the lifetime of the planned DPS.
