## Summary

The public procurement process involves the Ministry of Defence, which has awarded a contract titled "Award of ASDT MODCloud Application Support". This falls under the services industry, specifically in programming services for systems and user software (CPV code: 72211000). The contract was initiated on 6 April 2020 and is set to run until 5 April 2021. The procurement method was selective, carried out through a call-off from a framework agreement, with the tender period closing on 13 March 2020. The delivery addresses for the services include locations across the United Kingdom and beyond, encompassing British Overseas Territories and Europe.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in application support and maintenance services, especially those familiar with cloud hosting solutions. As the contract allows for a maximum throughput of £4.035 million over a potential five-year period on a pay-as-you-go basis, SMEs that can deliver quality support services on the MODCLOUD platform would be well-positioned to compete for future work. Engaging with the Ministry of Defence's cloud application requirements reflects a strategic area for businesses looking to expand their public sector involvement.

## Notice

Project EMPORIUM provide hosting services to end Customers across Defence. There is a requirement to off-board applications from the current JSF Capability amongst others around the estate. Once the initial requirement to migrate these applications, onto ICE (AWS platform) or ACE (Microsoft platform) has commenced, there is a requirement for a new support service in order to maintain the availability and quality of these applications hosted on the MODCLOUD Platform. This requirement was met via a Competitive Tendering exercise conducted via CCS Framework - Tech Services 2.
