In order to meet the Programme wide Output Specification (PWOS) and Sponsor's requirements (the requirements) the following are the aims of this short term procurement: a.How efficiently and effectively does the existing planned train control on CS1 and traffic management systems at Rugby meet the requirements? b.What train control systems are available as options, and how effectively and efficiently do they meet the requirements, and then the systems of systems requirements for each configuration state? Where a train control system does not have inbuilt ATP, consideration of ATP options must be examined. c.What traffic management systems are available as options, and how effectively and efficiently do they meet the requirements, and then the systems of systems requirements for each configuration state? d.What are the train control and traffic management systems (and any other direct interface systems) that EWR systems will need to interface to and with and what constraints do they have on question 2 and 3? e.What significant constraints does UK law, regulations and standards apply to this strategy option choice and what is the impact on choice? It is envisaged that the contract will run four weeks from 22nd October 2020 - 18th November 2020.
