## Summary

The BFI (British Film Institute) has recently completed the award process for the 'BFI London Film Festival Press & PR' contract. This procurement falls under the public relations services category, specifically aimed at enhancing the visibility and recognition of the BFI London Film Festival (LFF) in the UK and internationally. The contract is divided into two lots: Lot One focuses on main programme events and awards services, while Lot Two deals with media management for headline galas and special presentations. The procurement method utilised was an open procedure, with the tender period concluding on 15 March 2017. The contract is effective from 5 June 2017 through to 4 June 2018, and all activities are to be conducted in London, with postal services extending to various international locations.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in public relations, particularly those with expertise in managing high-profile events and a strong media presence. Agencies involved in public relations or media management that have adequate resources and a well-defined structure are encouraged to consider future tenders connected to the BFI, especially those aiming to elevate the profile of films and filmmakers. Supplier types, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are particularly well-suited for this procurement process as the BFI seeks collaborative partnerships to drive the promotional aspects of one of the UK’s leading cultural events.
