## Summary

The North Hertfordshire District Council is currently running a tender for the supply of assistive technology equipment under the title "Assistive Technology - Standalone Equipment". This procurement falls within the services industry category and is focused on enhancing the standalone independent living service provided as part of the Hertfordshire Careline service. The procurement method is an open procedure, with a deadline for submissions set for 13th May 2022. The chosen contract will commence on 6th June 2022 and is designed with a potential duration of five years, featuring two break clauses. The estimated contract value is £800,000 and the tender serves approximately 300 individuals who may have specific assistive technology needs.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses specialising in assistive technology and related services. Companies that can deliver equipment suited for standalone service users, particularly those with innovative solutions for hard of hearing individuals or those requiring medical reminder systems, would be well-positioned to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, as the Council aims to select the offer that delivers the most economically advantageous solution for their service users.
