## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has initiated the planning stage of a procurement process for a "Cyber threat hunting hardware kit" under the industry category of Portable Computers (CPV: 30213100). This tender, aimed at enhancing cyber threat hunting capabilities, involves the procurement of next-generation deployable hardware that must be transportable and operational in diverse and challenging environments. The procurement stage is currently at the planning phase, with an engagement end date set for 16th August 2024. The intended delivery location is in the South West region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) familiar with delivering innovative Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions for cyber security. Companies capable of providing robust, transportable, and standalone hardware solutions without relying on external processing or storage will find this tender particularly advantageous. Organisations looking to establish or strengthen their business relationship with the Ministry of Defence and potentially expand their market reach in cyber threat detection technologies on a global scale should consider competing for this contract.

## Notice

The United Kingdom Strategic Command Joint Warfare Innovation Hub (jHub) seeks a next-generation deployable cyber threat hunting hardware kit with typical Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) capabilities that will enable personnel to conduct cyber threat hunt tasks on Ministry of Defence and international or domestic partner networks in order to discover Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), and analyse Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) in use. The hardware kit should be transportable by no more than 8 personnel worldwide. The hardware must be capable of standalone operation in environments devoid of internet connectivity. The hardware kit must also be capable of performing all hunt operation activities without requiring additional processing or storage resources from a partner nation's on-site infrastructure or cloud. Furthermore, the hardware kit must be transportable as carry-on luggage on international commercial airlines in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards, and be compatible with the limited wattage and poorly conditioned power available in developing nations.
