## Summary

The public procurement process is initiated by Public Health England, which is seeking a provider for the "Management of UK Focal Point Early Warning System-New Psychoactive Substance". This procurement falls within the miscellaneous health services category, with a budget of £40,000. The process is currently in the planning stage, and the contract period is expected to commence on 1st May 2017 and conclude by 31st March 2019. Interested suppliers should note that if sufficient interest is not received, the contract may be awarded directly without a tender proceeding. A future notice is anticipated on 13th April 2017.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in forensic science and toxicology to engage with a crucial health initiative. Businesses that can provide analytical and reporting services related to new psychoactive substances, as well as those capable of coordinating expert networks and responding to urgent information requests, would be particularly well-suited to compete. The successful bidder will contribute significantly to the monitoring and reporting of emerging substance trends in the UK, thereby enhancing their reputation and opening avenues for further contracts and collaborations in the public health sector.
