The overarching award status is active with a total value of £216,832,000, and details of the call-off price remain confidential due to commercial sensitivities.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the technical support services industry, particularly those capable of providing expert safety and environmental support activity. The framework agreement structure offers repeated opportunities for suppliers to engage through mini-competitions. Companies of all sizes, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), are deemed suitable for participation, given the inclusive procurement framework under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011. This structured, ongoing competitive environment is likely to benefit those organisations with a robust infrastructure for rapid response and high-quality service delivery across multiple geographic areas, with BAE Systems Surface Ships Limited being an example of a large-scale supplier benefiting from such contracts.
