## Summary

The NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is conducting a public procurement process for the Urgent Care Centre service in Corby, located in the East Midlands, UK. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, with a total contract value of £8,689,023. The tender period ended on 28th November 2018, and the contract is set to commence on 1st April 2019 and run until 31st March 2021. This initiative aims to unify existing urgent care services, providing timely treatment for non-life-threatening conditions that do not necessitate emergency department services.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those in the health services sector, as NHS Corby CCG seeks qualified providers to deliver essential urgent care solutions. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this opportunity particularly accessible, given the emphasis on innovative strategies to reduce emergency admissions and ensure efficient service delivery. Suppliers with experience in urgent care services or those who can collaborate effectively with community-based services would be well-positioned to compete in this procurement process.

## Notice

NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the Service to serve the Corby area. The Urgent Care Service comprises the timely treatment of illness or injury in a primary care setting on an un-scheduled basis. The new Urgent Care Centre (UCC) service in Corby will bring together all existing urgent care services to ensure a single point of access for patients. The UCC will provide timely treatment for less serious illnesses and injuries which require immediate care but which do not require the full services of an Accident & Emergency Department. To reduce overall costs and deliver the aims and objectives outlined in the business case, bidders will need to consider throughout their tender how they will: * reduce A&E attendances by 25% reduce paediatric 24 hour emergency admissions by 25% and adults by 50% * ensure appropriate use of the UCC * reduce emergency admissions by working collaboratively with community based services.
