## Summary

The Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking to expand its Care Home Services through a Framework Agreement titled "Expansion of Care Home Services for People Aged 16 upwards." This public procurement process is classified under health and social work services, with a total contract value of £100 million. The tender was actively published on 13th January 2020, with the submission deadline set for 2nd March 2020. The contract period is set to commence on 1st May 2020 and will conclude on 30th November 2021. The procurement method used is an open procedure, allowing for wide participation from interested parties.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses experienced in providing health and social care services. Organisations that can meet the qualifications established by the Nottinghamshire County Council, particularly those operating as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary community social enterprises (VCSEs), are well-positioned to compete. The framework is designed specifically for providers who currently deliver care home services, catering primarily to individuals aged 16 and older. As there will be no further competition processes under this framework, businesses seeking to expand their service offerings within the care sector should consider applying to the related "Dynamic Provider List - Residential Care for Younger Adults".

## Notice

The Council wishes to expand its Care Home Services Framework Agreement (project reference DN316366). The Framework Agreement allows the Council to engage with suitably qualified providers who are already providing Care Home Services to existing Service Users, the majority of whom will be aged under 65 when placed. The Council wishes to update existing contract terms and conditions, or renew existing packages of care. No further competition processes will be run under this Framework. Placements for newly identified service users in need of care home services will generally be commissioned through an alternative project, the "Dynamic Provider List - Residential Care for Younger Adults", reference DN80051. That dynamic purchasing system (DPS) is active and open to new applications from organisations seeking opportunities to deliver care home placements. PLEASE NOTE: ORGANISATIONS WHICH BID SUCCESSFULLY FOR INCLUSION ON THE FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT (under project reference DN316366) SHOULD NOT RE-APPLY
