## Summary

The Transport for London (TfL) is initiating a procurement process for contract TFL 95421 RFLI, which focuses on the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health and Fire (MEP) Competency Assessment for Rail for London Infrastructure. This contract is classified under construction work and related transport services, and it will be conducted in London, England. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with an expression of interest deadline set for 23rd October 2020. Invitations to tender will be issued in the week starting 26th October 2020, with the contract award expected in the week starting 21st December 2020. The contract will span two years, with a possible one-year extension, and has a budget of £210,000. Businesses interested in this service should ensure their registration on the TfL e-tendering portal to access the tender documents.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for growth, particularly for businesses specialising in assessment and training services related to MEP competencies within rail infrastructure. Companies with expertise in safety management systems and workforce competence assessment would be particularly well-suited to respond. As the contract allows for subcontracting of technical expertise, it opens the door for smaller enterprises and voluntary community sector enterprises (VCSEs) to participate, aligning with TfL's encouragement of diverse supplier engagement. Businesses that fit within these categories should consider this opportunity to expand their reach and contribute to the operations of London's rail infrastructure.
