The major element of this approach is for the Council to optimise the use of its land and property assets through operational deployment or redevelopment. In addition, the Council is actively acquiring property both for place-shaping and investment purposes. The range of asset purchases to date varies from low value place-shaping acquisitions required for land assembly to the purchase of a large property for around ?70M with several properties valued between ?10M and ?30M.
