## Summary

The University of Salford is currently conducting a procurement process for the supply of Data Loggers as part of the Energy House 2 project, a cutting-edge building physics test laboratory located in Salford, England. This tender is classified under the category of miscellaneous data recorders (CPV code: 31644000) and is in the active tender stage with a submission deadline set for 6 November 2020. The project has an estimated value of £30,000, with a minimum threshold of £20,000, and the contract period is expected to run from 1 December 2020 to 30 November 2021. This procurement is being conducted using an open procedure, allowing a wider range of suppliers to participate.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses involved in the supply of scientific equipment, particularly those offering data logging solutions or environmental monitoring technology. Companies that specialise in engineering, building technology, or electronic equipment manufacturing would be particularly well-placed to compete in this procurement. With the project's focus on advanced testing capabilities for housing conditions, suppliers that can provide innovative and reliable monitoring instruments are encouraged to engage. The successful bidder will not only secure a valuable contract but also gain visibility in a prominent research initiative, potentially leading to further collaborations in the burgeoning field of building physics and energy efficiency.

## Notice

Energy House 2 (EH2) is a large-scale building physics test laboratory to be built at the University of Salford Manchester. The project Is part funded by the ERDF. The construction will begin in summer 2020 with the construction period set to last 12 months. The project builds on the successful Energy House project :(https://www.salford.ac.uk/built-environment/laboratories-and-studios/energyhouse ). A video of the project can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP3bsXeQKYU EH2 will be a unique facility and one of most advanced building test facilities on the planet. It has the following features: * 2 large chambers capable of having 2 family homes built in each one (4 homes in total) * Temperature controlled to within 0.5 degC from -20degC to +40 degC * Wind, rain, solar radiation and snow can be generated * These conditions provide testing facilities for housing covering 95% of the global population. The Energy House 2 Project has a requirement to monitor the internal and external environmental variables, including the following; RTD temperature sensors, thermistors, thermocouples, heat flux sensors (thermopiles) pulse inputs. Important Note We will accept a logger that has an expansion port coupled with a single multiplexing device, to accomplish the required number of variables. Said multiplexing devices shall be included in your proposal. Each on of these combinations shall be known as 1 "System " For full tender documentation please go to our InTend portal.
