Delivering our ambitions will not only make the town fit for the next 100 years but will remove the current drag on the local economy of transience and the re-cycling of poverty, and at the same time reduce the cost to the public purse by creating stable and self-sustaining communities The Claremont ward has a population of around 7000 people and sits directly north of the town centre. It comprises a mix of residential and commercial units, together with a range of hotels and Bed and Breakfast accommodation on the seafront.
