## Summary

The procurement process titled "Prejudice and unlawful behaviour: building capability and evaluating 'what works' (Lot 2)" was conducted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, based in Manchester, England. This project sought to enhance approaches to tackling prejudice, discrimination, and identity-based violence through social research services. The procurement method was an open procedure, and the tender period concluded on 14 November 2016, with the contract period running from 5 December 2016 to 31 March 2017. The awarded contract, valued at £11,000, has been confirmed, and the project involved collaboration between multiple suppliers, notably the University of Kent.

This tender presents unique opportunities for businesses specialising in social research services and related areas. Companies with expertise in evaluating interventions aimed at addressing issues of prejudice and discrimination would be particularly well-suited to compete. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to consider consortium formations, enhancing their chances of delivering high-quality outcomes through collaborative efforts as part of this important initiative.

## Notice

The aim of the project is to 'lift the floor' on 'what works' to tackle prejudice, discrimination and identity-based violence and harassment by: * Building capability through evaluation guidance and training (Lot 1) * Robustly evaluating the effectiveness of promising interventions (Lots 2-5). Suppliers can bid for one or more Lots - see section 11 for further detail. Please note that the Commission is interested in consortium bids where the research needs of the projects may not be met to a high standard within one organisation and will also accept bids from single, capable organisations. The two Lots are designed to take place in parallel and it would be desirable for the work of one Lot to inform the other. Because of this, it is important that the successful bidder(s) are willing to work collaboratively, where appropriate. The Commission will put successful bidders in touch with each other, if necessary, following appointments.
