## Summary

The Shaw Education Trust is seeking bids for a tender titled "Tender for Cleaning Services," aimed at providing cleaning services to 13 educational locations across the West Midlands, UK. The procurement, classified under "School cleaning services" (CPV code: 90919300), is currently in the tender stage, with a closing date set for 29 November 2019 at 12:00. The total contract value is approximately £800,000 per annum, and the contract duration extends from 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2025. The procurement method employed is a selective restricted procedure, which allows for a more controlled tendering process, ensuring qualified suppliers are evaluated for this opportunity.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in cleaning services, particularly those experienced in managing contracts within the educational sector. Companies that can demonstrate capability in delivering high-quality cleaning for diverse environments, including high-dependency schools, will be well-suited to compete. The goal of consolidating multiple cleaning contracts into a single source will allow successful bidders to leverage economies of scale, providing a stable revenue stream as the Shaw Education Trust continues to expand and potentially adds more schools within the contract period.

On this basis the TUPE information that will be made available during the tender process will be supplied from several sources. For the avoidance of doubt TUPE Regulations including pension rights will apply to this contract where applicable. The successful supplier will be expected to deliver a concise and detailed method of management reporting at the end of each month, thus updating the clients on contract performance. It is imperative that an open book policy is offered to ensure that the Trust has total clarity on financial performance. It should be noted that some of the schools within the Trust are high dependency schools with students requiring Special Educational support throughout the school day.
