## Summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking input for a soft market testing exercise for a new Service Management System, designated as QU142. The aim is to transition from the current ServiceNow system with minimal disruption, targeting implementation by the end of February 2019 to provide staff training before going live on 1 April 2019. Potential bidders are invited to submit their options and costs for various services including ongoing maintenance and training. The deadline for completed questionnaires is 3pm on 20 July 2018, while the contract period is set to start on 3 September 2018 and run until 30 September 2018. The opportunity falls within the services category, specifically focussing on hardware and software solutions.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those that offer software development, systems consultancy, and managed services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate in this procurement process, as there is no preferred solution at this stage, allowing for flexibility in the proposals submitted. Businesses with capabilities in providing user documentation, training, and ongoing support for service management systems would be well-positioned to compete effectively for this contract.
