A number of programmes of work will be delivered under the EDC contract. The most significant of these is Repository Development Programme (RDP) Tranche 1 which will install the necessary closure engineering works required to provide both short-term and long-term environmental protection for the wastes currently disposed in Vault 8 and the adjacent trenches.
