Ealing is seeking to carry out market engagement and gather feedback from the market during June/July 2021. The annual value of the Healthwatch Service is approximately up to PS140,000 per annum. The Department of Health funding specifies that the service must be carried out by an incorporated non-profit making organisation. Ealing Council has a statutory duty to commission a local Healthwatch service within the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2012. The purpose of a Healthwatch service is to act as a consumer champion for health and social care services, and to involve local people in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of these services.
