## Summary

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is currently in the planning stage for their "Employee Assistance and Occupational Health Programme 25" procurement. The engagement end date is set for 23rd April 2025. This programme aims to secure services for employee assistance and occupational health for DHSC’s approximately 3,600 staff, primarily located in Central London, Leeds, and regional offices across England. The procurement process will be conducted under the health services industry category, with a total estimated contract value of £462,000 for 40 months, beginning on 29th September 2025. This initiative includes separate lots for Occupational Health (OH) and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services. Potential providers are advised that the department may either use the Crown Commercial Service Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) RM6296 or conduct an Open Tender based on market engagement feedback.

This tender presents an excellent growth opportunity for businesses that specialise in health services, particularly those offering occupational health and employee assistance programmes. Organisations capable of delivering comprehensive support services addressing work-related and personal matters that impact health and wellbeing are well-suited to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are especially encouraged to participate, given the procurement’s suitability for SMEs. Companies that can work collaboratively with DHSC to support and enhance staff wellbeing and workplace performance across varied locations and hybrid working conditions have a significant chance to benefit from this long-term contract.
