## Summary

Buckinghamshire Council is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for Dementia Support Services as part of its preliminary market engagement exercise, scheduled to conclude with responses by midday on 10th May 2021. This process, currently in the planning stage, aims to gather insights from the market to inform upcoming procurement decisions. The procurement pertains to health and social work services, and activities will primarily take place in England, United Kingdom, following the potential issuance of a separate Contract Notice should the Council proceed to formal procurement.

This opportunity is particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) specialising in dementia care and support services. Businesses that can provide preventative screening and both pre- and post-diagnostic support for dementia patients will find this engagement beneficial. Participation in this RFI will allow companies to showcase their capabilities and potentially shape the Council’s procurement approach, positioning them effectively for future tenders in this sector.

## Notice

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. IT IS NOT A TENDER PROCESS. Buckinghamshire Council (the Council) is undertaking a preliminary market engagement exercise prior to tendering for a Dementia Support Service. Suppliers are invited to participate in this exercise by completing the attached questionnaire. This will help the Council understand the market. The information obtained from this exercise may be used to inform the Council's approach to the procurement process it undertakes for the delivery of these services. As such, this notice does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement process and does not constitute commitment to undertake a procurement exercise. In the event that the Council decides to commence a formal procurement exercise a separate Contract Notice will be issued. The Dementia Support Services will provide preventative screening, pre- and post-diagnostic support for individuals and their families, either following diagnosis of a dementia or for support for memory concerns. These services support individuals to remain independent and live well within their communities. The service will provide functions to support the delivery of the ambitions set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. Please note the deadline for responses to this Request for Information is midday Monday 10th May 2021.
