## Summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking to appoint a development partner for the implementation of a city-wide taxi and public electric vehicle (EV) network. This procurement is underway, with the contract expected to commence on 1st October 2018 and run for seven years, with a possibility of a three-year extension. The tender process will close on 28th March 2018, and interested parties must register through Birmingham's e-tendering system, In-tend. The procurement falls under the services category and involves a selective method, specifically a competitive procedure with negotiation.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector, particularly those involved in sustainable transport solutions, charging station installation, and network development. Companies with experience in public-private partnerships, urban planning, or renewable energy technologies would be well-suited to participate. The focus on enhancing Birmingham's EV charging network aligns with the broader goals of reducing air pollution, creating a more sustainable urban environment, and addressing the city's forthcoming Clean Air Zone initiatives.
