## Summary

The procurement process titled "MEH Project Oriel Accessibility Lead" is conducted by Partners Procurement Service, based in London, England. This project falls under the health and social work services industry category with a contract value of £99,985. The tender was awarded as of June 19, 2020, with the contract period running from July 20, 2020, to March 31, 2021. The procurement method used in this process is classified as "Other," and it is currently at the Award stage.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), looking to expand in the healthcare sector. Companies that excel in providing accessibility services and have experience in engaging with patient groups would be particularly well-suited to compete for contracts related to the communications and engagement activities necessary for the proposed new eye care centre. The focus on innovative engagement for a state-of-the-art facility opens avenues for suppliers to demonstrate their capabilities in delivering effective, user-centred solutions.

## Notice

Moorfields Eye Hospital (MEH) has a vision is to create an environment for innovation to flourish, inspiring improvements in people's sight. The proposal is to create a new, purpose-built centre of excellence for eye care, research and education. Should the proposal be approved in 2022, the Authority will relocate all services from Moorfields Eye Hospital on City Road and the IoO on Bath Street, to this new, integrated centre at St Pancras in London. The proposed new facility will be flexible and modern, enabling the Authority to bring together eye care, research and education for the first time, while focusing on patients and attracting and retaining the best ophthalmic scientists, educators and clinicians. There has been an extensive period of consultation and a need has been identified to develop the communications and engagement activity to support the programme as it approaches significant milestones, in particular the submission to town planners. The Authority has now appointed an Accessibility Lead to advise on and deliver best-practice targeted, in-person engagement with patient groups and partners. The Authority expects that this will be in the form of workshops and/or forums.
