This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in hyperscale cloud hosting, information technology services, and managed digital solutions. Companies that can offer flexibility in cloud computing and support for public sector applications would be well-suited to compete for future contracts of this nature, especially those capable of scaling resources on demand according to business needs. Engaging with this tender could facilitate growth for large-scale technology providers, especially those with expertise in delivering secure and efficient cloud solutions for governmental organisations.

## Notice

As part of the departments Digital, Cloud Appropriate strategy, DWP continues to move its frontline application OFFICIAL workloads from On Premise Hosting (OPH) and transitional hosting to strategic public Hyperscale Cloud Hosting arrangements. This strategic arrangement delivers great benefits in the running of our frontline applications, as the workloads increase by: * Providing high availability - as part of DWP's World Class Service * Providing service flexibility - in commissioning at pace computing and storage capacity for supporting on-going development and maintenance of frontline applications (we can stand up and down such capacity to reflect the business demand profiles) * Providing price flexibility - using on-demand pricing, where we pay for compute and storage capacity (increase or decrease) in line with business usage or by using reserved pricing where capacity usage is predictable for specific frontline applications.
