## Summary

The Consumer Council for Water has concluded the award process for the tender titled "Water Matters (2020)", focusing on the industry category of water distribution and related services. Situated in Birmingham, England, the procurement process followed an open procedure, with the contract valued at £297,000. The contract period commenced on 3rd August 2020 and extends until 2nd August 2023. Key deadlines included the tender submission date, which was 3rd June 2020, and potential further surveys from water companies could arise during the term.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in market research and survey methodologies, particularly those experienced in telephone surveys and statistical analysis. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are well-positioned to compete, particularly those familiar with replicating established methodologies to ensure continuity in data collection and analysis. This unique focus on household customer perspectives in water services can help organisations engage in valuable insights and further develop their service offerings within the water industry.

## Notice

Water Matters is a tracking survey of household customer views on their water and sewerage services. Therefore, the survey, methodology and analysis must be consistent with previous years to support robust trend analysis. In bidding for this contract, suppliers must be certain they can replicate the previous methodology in all respects. This must be a telephone survey of household water bill payers in England and in Wales. It must use the same sampling approach and quotas as in previous years i.e. a random digit dial landline survey sample with quota controls to +/- 5% of the most recent census data by region, plus a sample of mobile only households NOTE: Water Companies may commission additional Booster Surveys in conjunction with this contract. The contract value of PS297000 (ex VAT) represents potential total value of spend related to this contract both directly from CCW and indirectly from Water Companies. Additional information: Documents are available via the Bravo Solutions e-tendering platform. URL given below. All bids and communications must be submitted through this portal.
